STAGE 1, OVERALL START SACRAMENTO

These photographs are from the Start and Finish in Sacramento, next
to the State Capitol, and from on the course where the race crossed
the American River just about half way through the race. The Finish
was the first was the closest in race history, with Mark Cavendish,
Omega Pharma - Quick-Step, winning by a 'wheel rim', about one inch.

STAGE 2, FOLSOM TIME TRIAL
|
The Stage 2 Time Trial in Folsom was relatively short at about 12.6 miles,
20.1 kilometers, over gently rolling terrain, which lead to very fast
speeds. Several of the Racers were able to average better than 30mph, 48kph,
and Bradley Wiggins averaged better than 32mph, 51kph, to win the stage with
a nearly one minute lead.

STAGE 3, SAN JOSE TO MOUNT DIABLO
|
The photographs of this Stage are from two on-course locations, the first
near the start of the climb up Mount Hamilton and the second near the
finish on Mount Dablo.

STAGE 4, MONTEREY TO CAMBRIA
|
This collection has on-course photographs from the Race crossing
Bixby Bridge and then photographs of the Finish, Awards and Press
Conference in Cambria.

STAGE 5, PISMO BEACH TO SANTA BARBARA
|
These photographs are from the Start in Pismo Beach, from on course just
past Santa Maria and at the Finish and Awards in Santa Barbara. This
Stage was the first time a Stage in the Tour started on a Pier, and also
the first time Pismo Beach was a host City.

STAGE 6, SANTA CLARITA TO MOUNTAIN HIGH
|
This collection has photographs from the Start, the Points Sprint in
Palmdale, and the Finish and Awards at Mountain High. This was the
second mountain top finish of the 2014 Tour, and the 2014 Tour was the
first time there were two mountain top finishes in the history of the
Tour.

STAGE 7, SANTA CLARITA TO PASADENA
|
This page has photographs from Santa Clarita, the Start area and on course
at the edge of the City, and from Pasadena. There are seveal photos of
the Finish area and Festival in front of the imposing City Hall as well
as the Finish, Awards and Press conference.

STAGE 8, THOUSAND OAKS OVERALL FINISH
|
The final Stage of the Tour was a Circuit Race in Amgen's US Home,
Thousand Oaks. There were 3 long laps through the hills south of
Thousand Oaks followed by 3 short laps around the Westlake Village
area of Thousand Oaks.

CLOSING AWARDS CEREMONY PRESS CONFERENCE
|
These are photographs from the final Awards Ceremony immediately after the
finish of Stage 8 and the Press Conference. Awards were presented to the
overall top finishers, the top finishers of Stage 8, the Jersey Winners,
and the Fastest Team on the Tour.
