AMGEN TOUR OF CALIFORNIA

These are photographs from the 2009 Amgen Tour of California professional bicycle race. The first three days of the race are covered, the first KOM climb in Stage 1, along Hwy 1 entering Santa Cruz County in Stage 2, and the first KOM climb leaving San Jose in Stage 3. There is also a link on this page to the collection from the 2008 Amgen Tour of California, Stage 3 from Modesto to San Jose and Stage 4 from Seaside to San Juis Obispo. The Tour of California is the largest Pro Cycling competition in North America, and is raced by some of the best teams and fastest cyclists in the World.

2008 USA CYCLING MASTERS TRACK CHAMPIONSHIPS

This page has many photographs from the USA Cycling Masters Track Championships held in September, 2008, at Hellyer Park Velodrome in San Jose, California. The event was the National Championships for the Masters categories track bicycle racers for 2008 with competitors from around the United States.

SANTA CRUZ CLASSIC CRITERIUM

This section has photographs from the Pro/1/2 race of the 2009 Santa Cruz Classic Criterium. There is also a link to the collection from the 2008 race which has coverage of the Masters 1/2/3, Womens 1/2/3 and Mens Pro/1/2 races. The race is a USCF sanctioned race and well known in the California Cycling community.

2008 NCNCA MASTERS STATE TRACK CHAMPIONSHIPS

These are photographs from the 2008 NCNCA Masters State Track Championship Bicycle Races at the Hellyer Park Velodrome in San Jose California on August 2, 2008. Events covered are the Sprints with their Awards, the 2KM Mens Persuit and the 3KM Womens Persuit.

2008 UCSC UNIVERSITY ROAD RACE

ANCIENT BRISTLECONE PINES

These are photographs of the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest located within the Inyo National Forest and the surrounding area. The Bristlecone Pines are the longest living life forms on Earth.

PETS

At the moment this section has photographs of a German Shorthair Pointer, Chihuahuas, and a couple Cats.

ELEPHANT SEALS

These are photographs taken at the Piedras Blancas Elephant Seal Rookery near San Simeon, California, when the young were being raised.

SEALIFE

Presently the types of Sealife are Seals, Otters, and various Tide Pool life which include Starfish, Hermit Crabs, and a Sea Urchin.

BIRDS

These are photographs of birds, mainly those that live in and near the sea. There are presently shots of Pelicans, Seagulls, Forsters Terns, Swift chicks, Egrets, a Red Tail Hawk and Pigeons. Some of the shots are close up views of the bird(s), and others are shots of birds and flocks of birds flying.

OTHER ANIMALS AND INSECTS

This section has photographs of animals that don't fit into the above catagories and insects. Right now these are photos of cows, horses, a butterfly, and a squirrel.

PIECES OF ART

At the present time this section has photographs of the Lincoln Memorial, some Wall Murals, some Statues and some Fountains.

Most of these Sunsets are from California but a few are from New York.
